Our church began meeting as a small group in November 2001. Founding Pastor Adrian Dixon led a group of committed individuals as the groundwork was laid for a new church. On February 17, 2002, we held our first worship service in what use to be Ace Hardware in Knightdale. Throughout Northside's brief history, we have relocated 4 times, with each relocation expanding the size of our facilities to accommodate the church's growth.
We have worshipped in the following facilities throughout our history:
February '02 - July '03 / Ace Hardware Building in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center
August '03 - May '05 / Harper Park Community Center
June - August '05 / Forrestville Road Recreation Center
September '05 - Currently / Little Village Shopping Center
In June of 2007, Northside Community Church completed its acquisition of 30 acres of property located on Buffaloe Road in Knightdale, just 2.5 miles East of I-540. With God's provision, we are hopeful to one day settle permanently on Buffaloe Road.
With this continued growth in mind, plans are underway for a future worship center and educational facility on Buffaloe Road. Even as the church has continued to reach out to the eastern Wake County area, we are committed to not larger growth but to individual growth of disciples for Jesus Christ. We invite you and your family to become an active part of what God is doing here at Northside Community Church.
