Artsplore: Beginning to Learn from the Masters (ages 7 years and older)
Let’s pull out our oil pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints to journey through art with a classic master and a modern master. We will gain perspective by looking at Impasto, Fauvism and Cubism. We will capture inspiration to create similar pieces of art as those who have so brilliantly gone before us. Although we will be looking to some of the best artists history has ever produced, we will learn concepts and techniques that elementary and middle schoolers can have fun with and learn from!
- Leader(s): Tara Hazelrigg
- Cost: $20 per student
- Maximum participants: 12
- Materials to bring: Students will need a paint smock or old t-shirt
- Homework: ½ hour per week
