Small groups are where you belong — a small gathering of people, who meet in homes in your area, who have a desire to see you improve and succeed in life. In a small group, you will come together with others to become people of influence. You will learn about practical Christian living through discussing the truths of the Bible and building friendships with one another.
Why Small Groups?
As Northside Community Church continues to reach the Eastern Wake County area, we must grow larger and smaller at the same time. Connecting people in a small group is not an optional sub-ministry of the church. It is the church in her smallest form. We are called to live the Christian life with the support of others. Partners' helping one another is Christ's plan for His church.
Are Small Groups Biblical?
In the book of Acts, Luke records the tremendous growth of the first church in Jerusalem. Small group meetings in homes were the foundation of the early church. Acts 5:42 tells us that the people met "in the temple courts" (large group worship) and "from house to house" (small group fellowship). Jesus did much of his ministry in homes and early Christians continued to meet in homes for fellowship, study and discipleship.
